THIRUVAMBADY THAMPAN - Review

After a Super hit Malayalam film 'Shikaar', director M.Padmakumar and Writer S.Sureshbabu again united for Actor Jayaram by the film 'Thiruvambady Thampan' which released today (25/05/2012). But the team's film did not create much hype on viewers, because its an Average film received opinions are mixed. The film features an ensemble cast including Jagathy Sreekumar, Nedumudi Venu, Haripriya, Kishore, Jayaprakash, Samudirakani, T.G.Ravi etc and produced by Alexander John

Story
Thampan(Jayaram) and his father Mathan Tharakan(Jagathy Sreekumar) are famous businessmen belonging to Aalangadu Tharavadu settled in Thrishur, dealing elephant trading. During their happy life some unexpected incidents happens when a bloody politician involved in their life turns into an ill at ease.

'Thiruvambady Thampan'- First half aligned by disjointed sequences and most of the divided shots&scenes are flabby and indigestible. But the Second Half sequences are mostly good and it keeps the curiosity and pace as certain Tamil films story tracks on viewers and it leading to an immediate Climax and End. Totally, the Second Half is better than the First Half

The movie's casting - Jayaram, Jagathy Sreekumar, Nedumudi Venu, Haripriya etc. are just finely handled their characters. The film reached the highest by the remarkable performance of Tamil Actor Kishore. He handled the 'Villain' role by his adorable performance and Malayalam film industry obtained a good actor through this film. Samudirakani's cameo appearance is good and apt.

M.Padmakumar offers a simple making style in the First Half and  the Second half is the strong factor which rousing the curiosity by the fast divided shots. However, the film has slim script and no intention, inscribed by S.Sureshbabu with some sequences are glean of attractive Tamil films,. After the commendable Visuals of 'Shikaar', Manoj pillai has taken the good visuals for this film. 'Thiruvambady Thampan' shots are mostly filled up with yellowish color tone and the Editing of  Samjith MHD, well done. And Ouseppachan's Bg Scores are well apt in thrilling situations
Overall, 'Thiruvambady Thampan'  is a Watchable film.

Grade:    'Thiruvambady Thampan' clutch in Second Half.
Rating:     2.75/5
