HERO - Review

Director Diphan and 'Young Star' Prithviraj re-enters in an another Action rollicking entertainer film 'Hero' released on 25/05/2012. The Blockbuster film 'Puthiya Mugham' (2009), Prithviraj again repeats as a Valiant icon in 'Hero' which casting includes Anoop Menon, Srikanth, Nedumudi Venu, Thalaivaasal Vijay etc. and Yami Gautham as Heroine of Prithviraj. The film garnered mixed reviews with negative.

Story
Tarzan Antony (Prithviraj), a Stunt artist who is working as an assistant of the Stunt Director Dharmarajan (Thalaivaasal Vijay). Due to some personal problems, Dharmarajan presently working for an action film of Director Adithyan (Anoop Menon) in which main stars are Premanand (Srikanth) and Gowri Menon (Yami Gautham). Director Adithyan and Gowri menon are impressed by the well dedicated works of Tarzan Antony that leads Gowri Menon to fall in love with Tarzan. But Premanand cannot tolerate their relation because he is willing to marry Gowri menon. This reasoned the enmity between Tarzan and Premanand. It is the Main Plot.

'Hero'- Story is fictionally good, First Half wrapped by Galvanic Situations including stirring thrills, sentiments, songs are decorously. But the Second Half slips into a predictable manner leading to a prescriptive climax stunt sequence which supports is in irrational effect. Despite the Second half, First is OK.

Prithviraj enacted finely the role 'Tarzan Antony' and his heroism totally build up through this film. He does maximum efforts to reach the intensity of this film and the action sequences is definitely best of his career. Actress Yami gautham's performance is Charming and Anoop menon, Srikanth, Thalaivasal Vijay and other cast offering neat performances.

In 'Hero', Diphan partially wins by the same making style of 'Puthiya Mugham'. As aforementioned, in the First half has superb situations by his experts to directing thrills. Specially the introduction scene of Prithviraj / Tarzan Antony is Slap-up. Vinod Guruvayoor's Script packed by Stimulated sequences while half-baked and predictable and permanent in Second half. Bharani.K.Dharan galored with allegro & deft visuals, some of the shots of Action sequences are resemblance of 'Puthiya Mugham' and Samjith MHD editing is well built. The Soundtracks 'Nerro.. Nerro...', 'Tarzon Anthony...' is apt and good in the situations while the Bg score Half good and Some are hyper echoic.
Totally, 'Hero' is a One-time Watch film.

Grade:   'Hero'  is a  Prithviraj's Booster.
Rating:   2.75/5
