DIAMOND NECKLACE - Review

Hai viewers,
After an acclaimed film 'Arabikatha', the director Lal jose and writer Iqbal Kutipurram joined together in 'Diamond Necklace' released on 04 May 2012. Starring Fahad Fazil, Samvrutha Sunil, Gauthami, Anusree in the lead and supported by Sreenivasan, Rohini, Maniyan Pilla Raju etc. Diamond Necklace garnered mixed opinions like an 'Average' with negative response and 'This film do not create a hype on viewers'.

Story
Arun Kumar (Fahad Fazil), a doctor working in Dubai and due to his uncontrolled luxurious life he confronts a huge financial crisis. In his life three young women Maya (Samvrutha Sunil), Laxmi (Gauthami Nair) and including his spouse Rajasree (Anusree) entering and afterwards unexpected events happens in his life is the
main plot of this film.

'Diamond Necklace'- Story is quite good, First Half includes usual fine and some intricate & amorphous sequences. Similarly, In Second Half packed with quite impressive and  drops of lagging. Especially just prior to the Interval scene is Hurry and Anticlimax & Climax is emotionless. The drawback is some sporadic of tiresome scenes are squats into the film.

Fahad Fazil is the main attraction of this film, he enacts the role 'Arun Kumar' by his spry & flamboyant acting style and his performance is highly splendid in 'Diamond Necklace'. Fahad would be an excellent assurance to the Malayalam film industry through this film. The film has three heroines Samvrutha Sunil, Gauthami Nair and Anusree are excellent in their parts. Samvrutha Sunil plays her role as 'Maya' accurately and Anusree's performance retains in viewers mind, specially this is  Anusree's first film in Malayalam following being the winner in Reality show 'Vivel Active Fair Big Break'. She handles the role of 'spouse' of Fahad, jocose & spotlessly. Supporting cast Sreenivasan, Rohini, Maniyan Pilla Raju are usual fine.

Considering the other films of Lal Jose, he used a hurry direction style and didn't give a contribution for this film. He just followed the script of Iqbal Kutipurram and undoubtedly, the screenplay is ineffective and the sequences are undulated by more emotionless and fair sequences. In technically, the movie has strong positive features like Cinematography, BG Scores and Music handled by Sameer Thahir and Lal Jose's permanent Music director Vidyasagar respectively. Sameer Thahir captures the outlook of Dubai City and beautifies with 'First rate' Visuals in 'Diamond Necklace'. The eminent BG Scores and Music gave a vitality to 'Diamond Necklace' from Vidyasagar eg. Bg Score in just before the interval scene and in Climax. and the Soundtrack is melodious, specially  'Nilamalare...'.
Overall, 'Diamond Necklace' is just watchable by some good features.

Grade:  'Diamond Necklace' is less glittering
Rating:  2.75/5
