Arike is a forthcoming Family drama film, Directed by Shyamaprasad and has Dileep plays the protagonist along with Mamtha Mohandas and Samvrutha Sunil as heroines. The film produced by Sureshbabu Tharayil and presented by Vindhyan.

Shyamaprasad has adapted from famous literary classics into Films like Agnisakshi, Akale, Ore Kadal and Elektra and 'Arike' also based on a short story by Sunil Gangopadhya. The film 'Ore Kadal' was also based the same novelist's story 'Hirak Deepthi'. Shyamaprasad has achieved several awards for his all films and 'Arike' script is done by himself.
According to Cast, actor Dileep again unite with Shyamaprasad, he had earlier done a role in the film 'Kallukondoru Pennu'. Samvrutha Sunil and Mamtha Mohandas are firstly join with Shyamaprasad and Famous artists are working along with him through this film.
In technicalities, Azhagappan took the visuals using 'SONY F3 CAMERA' in this film, he previously worked with Shyamaprasad in the film 'Ore Kadal' and Vindhyan presenting this film, he had done the production of Shyamaprasad's films 'Ore Kadal' and 'Elektra'. Sakhi Thomas handling as 'Costume Designer' in 'Arike', earlier she has worked with Shyamaprasad's 'Elektra' and 'Ritu'. Another speciality is the film uses the live sound recording which is handling Sohel Sanwari. The film completely shot at Calicut city in Kerala.
