'Vedivazhipaadu' - 'Genuine Experiment'

'Vedivazhipaadu', thematically works well as the worth of family & marital affairs. But the family viewers do not get into the theatres in the fact of several 'mute & beep dialogues and some adultery contents'. In my view, the movie is a genuine experiment and don't try to put on severe criticism. Before release, it created some set-tos and it finally got an 'A' certification. The film released with Tag line that 'Watch it with Bravely' and that's also my opinion or 'Watch it with Friends'.

Story
The three friends Sanjay (Saiju Kurup), Rahul (Murali Gopy) and Pradeep (Sreejith Ravi) decide to celebrate with alcohol and a hired woman (Anumol) while their wives are out to participating in the 'Attukal Pongala Festival'. That day, they faces many problems which leads them to realise...... ?

Movie Outlook

  • The story is quite interesting and the sequences are tightly followed except the  'End scene' and the extramarital scenes of 'Indrajith and Mythili' roles which feels lagging ( I didn't like that). The young viewers have nothing to feel vulgar which shows with genuine fun. Unfortunately the family do not accept it.
  • The characters' dialogues and activities are seems real.

Acting

  • The three characters,  Murali Gopy, Saiju Kurup and Sreejith Ravi; do wonderful jobs. Especially Saiju Kurup who makes a lot of jokes.
  • The new actor Ashvin Mathew gives noteworthy performance.
  • Only the actresses Anusree and Anumol have to do something in the film.
  • Indrajith' s role isn't impressive.

Technicality
  • Writer & Director Shambu Purushothaman could have to care about the flow of his making style. The film is somewhere lagging. And he could have avoid the intellectual sides in screenplay.
  • Shehnad's frames is appealing. (Specially the shots of 'Pongala Festival')
  • Edit by Prajeesh Prabhakar could have been better.
  • Bg scores of Bijipal, is obnoxious.
