'916' is director M.Mohanan's third venture, his previous films were declared as Super hits at the Box-Office. Actor Salimkumar again working with M.Mohanan and Salimkumar has performed prominent roles of Mohanan's previous films. A gap of years, Tamil actress Monica will be enacting as a heroine role in this Malayalam film along with actress Lakshmi Gopalaswami and a starlet Malavika nair firstly introducing through this film. The technical works of this film are done by Mohanan's permanent crew, Cinematography by P.Sukumar, Edited by Ranjan Abraham and the Soundtracks composed by M.Jayachandran and Lyrics penned by Rafeeq Ahmed , Anil Panachooran and Rajeev Nair.
