'101 Weddings' - Review

Dear Friends,

You will pick out to watch the film '101 Weddings' because of its lead stars are Kunchako Boban, Biju Menon, Jayasurya but the film isn't interesting. The film from the director of 'Humour genre films' Shafi and scripted by Kalavoor Ravikumar. '101 Weddings' released today and the responses are mostly negative.

Story
Krishnankutty aka Krish (Kunchako Boban) is forced by his strict 'Gandhian' father to marry a girl from '101 Weddings', a mass marriage ceremony. Krish doesn't wish to marry the girl whom his father suggested. To escape from this plan, Krish fabricates some crooked ways.

'101 Weddings' story keeps the 'trademark' of Shafi but it mostly goes on an adrift route in First and Second Halves and the film has a lot of mirthless humours.

The film has an apt castings for lead characters but it didn't offers the worthy performances from theirs. Mainly, before watching this film you don't keep much eager expectations from the 'magical screen chemistry' of the team 'Kunchako Boban-Biju Menon'. They have nothing special comic numbers. Jayasurya's role is special in his career,as yet but his performance is a killjoy. Actresses Samvrutha Sunil and Bhama are just passable for their roles.

'101 Weddings' major technical sides - Shafi's Story & Direction and Kalavoor Ravikumar's Script are entirely failure especially the film's suspense (not an important one) is usually predictable and array planning of scenes, is totally weak. Other main technics -  Azhagappan visuals are good and Editing of V.Saajan, is simple. Deepak Dev's Soundtracks have a permanent style.
Totally, '101 Weddings' blew out all the expectations.

Grade:  '101 Weddings' is a forgettable Ceremony.
Rating:  2/5
