'Molly Auntie Rocks' - Review

In the films 'Passenger' and 'Arjunan Sakshy', director Ranjith sankar stated the serious issues. His recent film 'Molly Auntie Rocks' propounds another sensational problem and released 14/09/2012. Revathi did the title character amongst Prithviraj, Lalu Alex, K.P.A.C.Lalitha, Maamukoya etc. as the major supporting roles. 'Molly Auntie Rocks' opinions are generally mixed.

Story
Molly (Revathi), a bank employee and a brave-middle aged woman. Unexpectedly an egoistic IRS Officer, Pranay Roy (Prithviraj) enters in her financial dealings and clashes between them leads her in problems. See what happens then?

'Molly Auntie Rocks' - Story is quite impressive and the sequences are packed with vital and recent social issues, perfectly. Specially the film is high-toned, but it could be make much simple.

Revathi has done a wonderful job in her character 'Molly' and she is attracted in her all scenes, impressively. The role 'Pranav Roy' is absolutely apt for Prithviraj and he done easily. Other actors Lalu Alex, K.P.A.C.Lalitha, Maamukoya, Krishnakumar etc. are well meant.

Director Ranjith Sankar penned the well built screenplay, but his direction is complicated in somewhere and few dialogues dipped into schmaltz. Specially it is an extra-ordinary film and even though the plot is simple, it is very difficult to understand the common people. More over, in the film's crucial flashback situation is presented by illustrations; good.  The film having more distinguished marks in technicalities - Sujith Vasudev's Visuals, Lijo Paul's Editing and Anand madhusoodanan scores.

Grade:   A  Realistic Film
Rating:  3/5
