The old horror formulas of Malayalam movie is rehashes in 'Dracula 2012 (3D)' which just offers a few 3d and sound effects. Director cum producer Vinayan used the legend count for sex up bits (for the money-back guarantee) and he creates a worse 'Dracula' film I have ever seen. The movie actors are Sudheer, Aryan, Monal, Srada Das, Prabhu, Nassar, Thilakan etc. and it released recently. 'Dracula 2012' opinions mostly negative.
Story
Roy (Sudheer) and his wife went on a honeymoon trip to Romania. Roy is a man who practicing mantras and he visits Bran castle. By the power of mantras he releases the vampire spirit of Dracula. The spirit kills Roy and enters in his body. The haunted Roy returns to his homeland Kerala and there some dangerous situations happens .
The movie's story goes on the usual routes of horror Malayalam movie techniques (like magic spells and mantras) and script is mediocre. The sequences don't frighten even at parts and it more filled with goosy turns and dialogues. In the technical side of '3D', the movie has just a few shots like, Bats, stone parts, branch twigs and the Dracula's hands are coming towards your eyes.
Sudheer does a fine job in the legend character 'Dracula' with his physique and gestures and the performance is good. The other actors have nothing offers specials.
Director Vinayan makes a 'dull' product of Dracula in all manners. He installs more sex bits and follies in his script which dialogues are more stagy. The Major technical side is average; in Sathish Babu's D.O.P, Edit by Nishad yousuf and Babith George's musics. The one and only positive benefit in technicality is its Art direction, by Saloo.K.George. Dracula's visual &sound effects are not up to mark (The graphical rendering of the Dracula's spirit is so funny)
Totally, Vinayan's 'Dracula' doesn't frighten and entertain you
