FATHERS DAY - Review

Some renowned scriptwriters turned as directors, who inscribes good scripts but they make mistakes in rendering because of their lack of knowledge in some technicalities. Similarly the film 'Fathers Day' which is recently released movie has also bagged into that group, received with mixed responses like 'Average and bad'. The film is Directed by Kalavoor Ravikumar. Revathy, Vineeth, Shaheen, Indu Thampy and Shankar etc. features the main roles. 'Fathers day' received review that ''the movie has included good social relevant subject that depicts in a poor making style''.

Story

The film features the story of an unmarried woman lecturer named 'Seethalakshmi' who has to suffer mental agony in her life. In her present life a young person named Joseph.K.Joseph entered with a great problem pertaining to her life and the problem is solved leaving a chance for a second part of this film.

The film's First half and Second Half includes story's apt and important sequences but it could not keep the pace of the the film due to silly rendering.

Revathy has done the pivotal role of 'Seethalakshmi', shows a perfect and nice performance in this film and the role of 'Joseph.K.Joseph' done by debut actor Shaheen performed fairlyOther main characters handled by Vineeth, Lal, Jagathy Sreekumar, Shankar etc are good in their scenes. Actress Indu Thampy did not match her role and her performance is faulty and unclear and Rasool Pookutty acted as a cameo to convey a message in this film and that scene is unremarkable and forgettable.

Kalavoor Ravikumar directs this film imperfectly though he inscribes good screenplay and dialogues, but some scenes and shots are predictable and schmaltz. The movie sequences saturated in incapable shots due to the technical errors in Cinematography, Editing and BGMusic. Camera handled by S.G.Raman has done inadequately, specially the color tone of shots is worst and K.Sreenivas done the editing inaccurately. Ousepachan is one of the good BG Score Musicians in Malayalam Film industry but in this film scenes tracked impolitic scores. And other technical sides are not quotable.

Totally, 'Fathers Day' has an essential subject for society through a silly output.

Rating: 2/5   for the Story
