EE ADUTHA KAALATHU - Review

'Ee Adutha Kaalathu' is an another exceptional film from the 'Cocktail' director, Arunkumar Aravind, which were released on 24 Feb.2012. and the movie enriched with appreciable Cast; Indrajith, Thanusree Ghosh, Murali Gopy, Anoop menon, Lena, Jagathy Sreekumar, Nishan, Mythili etc.  'Ee Adutha Kaalathu' received with Critically Good responses and the review that 'an essential narrative story for society and decorates like a Brainy Entertainer'.

Story

The story features about Six different persons from their various strata of the social life and Circumstantially they were interrelated by social relevant events, apart from it helps to find out the mysterious truth.

First Half of the film includes Spine sequences, but some are moves in lagging and confusing manner. And after the Interval the movie subsumes Tendon scenes that catch up the pace and energy of the film. Specially the Anti climax and Climax is curious. Totally the Second Half is better than the First Half.

Indrajith is the Showman and Chieftain of this film and he plays the Character 'Vishnu' plates with nice expressions and accurate performances, specially he leads the second half of this filmBengali Actress Thanusree Ghosh was made her debut in Mollywood in this film, plays a pivot role and her performance is entirely good.  Especially the film's salient parts flow from these two characters and Other Cast handled by Anoop Menon, Murali Gopy, Lena, Nishan, Mythily and Jagathy Sreekumar performed well. Even a tiny character will retain in the mind of viewers.

Arunkumar Aravind, Edits and Directs this film preferentially and he has much improved than his debut film 'Cocktail' and Murali Gopy has inscribed the Script finely and also he done a vital role in this film, but some of the sequences and dialogues is Schmaltz and the characters connectivity conceived in an accolade route. Cinematography, Art, BGMusic are applaudable factors done by Shehnad Jalal, Jotish Shankar, Gopi Sunder orderly and  these factors are helps to scale up the film's overall perfection.

Totally,  'Ee Adutha Kaalathu' has scads Best qualities and Quotient factors and each characters reaches to one point like 'Rubik's Cube.

Grade:  'Ee Adutha Kaalathu' patterned as a 'Rubik's Cube Puzzle'

Rating:  3.5/5

FATHERS DAY - Review

Some renowned scriptwriters turned as directors, who inscribes good scripts but they make mistakes in rendering because of their lack of knowledge in some technicalities. Similarly the film 'Fathers Day' which is recently released movie has also bagged into that group, received with mixed responses like 'Average and bad'. The film is Directed by Kalavoor Ravikumar. Revathy, Vineeth, Shaheen, Indu Thampy and Shankar etc. features the main roles. 'Fathers day' received review that ''the movie has included good social relevant subject that depicts in a poor making style''.

Story

The film features the story of an unmarried woman lecturer named 'Seethalakshmi' who has to suffer mental agony in her life. In her present life a young person named Joseph.K.Joseph entered with a great problem pertaining to her life and the problem is solved leaving a chance for a second part of this film.

The film's First half and Second Half includes story's apt and important sequences but it could not keep the pace of the the film due to silly rendering.

Revathy has done the pivotal role of 'Seethalakshmi', shows a perfect and nice performance in this film and the role of 'Joseph.K.Joseph' done by debut actor Shaheen performed fairlyOther main characters handled by Vineeth, Lal, Jagathy Sreekumar, Shankar etc are good in their scenes. Actress Indu Thampy did not match her role and her performance is faulty and unclear and Rasool Pookutty acted as a cameo to convey a message in this film and that scene is unremarkable and forgettable.

Kalavoor Ravikumar directs this film imperfectly though he inscribes good screenplay and dialogues, but some scenes and shots are predictable and schmaltz. The movie sequences saturated in incapable shots due to the technical errors in Cinematography, Editing and BGMusic. Camera handled by S.G.Raman has done inadequately, specially the color tone of shots is worst and K.Sreenivas done the editing inaccurately. Ousepachan is one of the good BG Score Musicians in Malayalam Film industry but in this film scenes tracked impolitic scores. And other technical sides are not quotable.

Totally, 'Fathers Day' has an essential subject for society through a silly output.

Rating: 2/5   for the Story

'GHOST RIDER:SPIRIT OF VENGEANCE' - Review

The Rabble - Rousing Superhero JOHNY BLAZE-THE GHOST RIDER returned today through the Sequel 'GHOST RIDER:SPIRIT OF VENGEANCE', directed by Mark Neveldine & Brian Taylor. The Character role reprised by Nicolas Cage is applied to a new story and background. Along with Nicolas Cage, Other Staple roles are handled by Violante Placido, Idris Elba, Ciaran Hinds and Fergus Riordan. The movie recieved mixed reviews and the response is 'Average'.

Story

The story adapted from Marvel comics and the movies first half and second half includes a bit of unripe scenes but sometimes the movie catches pace and energy. The sequence where the Ghost Rider saves the boy from devil's aggression has been done excellently.

Nicolas Cage's Outre Performance is a Salient and Extreme and He utilized the character's expressions accurately. Nicolas's level of acting efficiency has gone up than the film's first part and other crucial characters  are fairly and gracefully done by Violante Placido, Idris Elba, Ciaran Hinds and Fergus Riordan.

'Crank' movie team Mark Neveldine & Brian Taylor directs this film differently from the first part of 'Ghost Rider', But some of the shots were made to look like the film 'Dark Night' specially Ghost Rider's riding sequences in struggling situations and in relation to First part, the Sequel is not special . David.S.Goyer, Scott Gimple and Seth Hoffman has done the Story and Screenplay. The story is nice but screenplay includes mixed sequences like deserving and disinclined. The incredible technical part of this film is Cinematography, Editing and Tracks are done by Brandon Trost, Brian Berden and David Sardy orderlyGhost Rider, the Spirit of Vengeance includes different technicians and the film title move off is good.

Totally, 'GHOST RIDER-SPIRIT OF VENGEANCE' depicts in a Weak Script and Worse than the First Part 'GHOST RIDER'.

Grade:  'GHOST RIDER-SPIRIT OF VENGEANCE' is Meretricious and Etiolated rendering.

Rating:    5.5/10

Unnam - Review

Some exceptional films released last year such as Traffic, Salt'n Pepper, Chaapa Kurish, Melvilasom; Unnam can be included in this category ; released on 11 Feb 2012, directed by Sibi Malayil the movie is enriched with famous stars, Lal, Sreenivasan, Nedumudi Venu, Aasif Ali, Prasanth Narayan, Swetha Menon, RimaKallingal etc.. The initial opinion of the movie is mixed, the 'Mysterious Thriller' is produced by Noushi & Basheer.

Story

The film features the story about 6 gang members Sunny, Murukannan, Aloshy, Tomy and Basheer, they handle job Gambling, Bar and other underhand deals such drugs. Balakrishnan, a C.I of Police in Bangalore offers them a job to sell heroin for 5crores promising them fifty percent share. The 5 members start out to fulfill the offer thus facing the consequences thereafter. This is the principal plot of this film.

'Unnam' is sort of an adaptation from 2007 Bollywood sleeper hit film 'Johny Gaddar', first half is packed with momentous and essential sequences but second half is a little lagging with unpremeditated scenes and twists but the movie's interval and end is un hoped and peculiar

Lal, Nedumudi Venu, Aasif Ali, Prasanth Narayan and Noushi plays the 5 gang members roles as Sunny, Murugannan, Aloshy, Tomy and Basheer respectively. Lal, Nedumudi venu and Noushi has performed well in their parts, Except  Aasif Ali inelegantly handled the struggled character 'Aloshy'. Bollywood famed villain Prasanth Narayan, of 'Murder 2 fame',  plays a pivotal role in this film and he has done the character of 'Tomy' with aplomb. What an acting style he uses for this film! He is an amazing part in 'Unnam'. The heroine roles done by Swetha menon and Rima Kallingal is done finesse and the nice and jovial Character Balakrishnan played by Sreenivasan is hearty too.

Though the story is complicated, Sibi Malayil directs the film's with ease compared to his recent films 'Violin' which was not well received at the Box Office. Compared to Sibi's other movies, 'Unnam' is rendered in a new style and is different. The movie scripted by Swathi Bhaskar, is adapted from 'Johny Gaddar' and the screen play has a lot of twists and complications. The cinematography done by Ajayan Vincent, a salient factor in this film has been garnished with a lot super visuals, especially the color tone of 'Unnam' is very apt and Bijith Bala' s editing is perfect. Other technicals, Music, Costumes, Makeup and Art is appreciable especially the title graphics of 'Unnam', It is superb!

Totally, 'Unnam' is an adequate and different rendering of a complicated script.

Grade:  'Unnam' a different experiment and mysterious-noir thriller film.

Mullassery Madhavankutty Nemom.P.O - Review

Without any hue and cry the Malayalam movie 'Mullassery Madhavankutty Nemom.P.O' made a release on 10 Feb 2012, directed by debutant Kumar Nanda the prominent roles are performed by Anoop menon, Sonal Devaraj, KPAC Lalitha, Innocent etc.. The response for the movie is below Average and the screenplay by Swathibhaskar does not stand out either. This flick is produced by K S Chandran & Sam Varghese under the banner 'Karthik Vision'.

Story

Madhavankutty, an uplander whose life is going well with his family has a dream of becoming a familiar person based on an address 'Nemom.P.O'. Madhavankutty produces a film but the matters go out of hand and this leads to a derailment in his life. What follows is a series of struggle. Will he overcomes these problems and will Madhavankutty fulfill his dream?. This is the main plot of this film.

The film's first half contains ragged and dim sequences and second half filled with a lot of deranged and predictable plot.

Anoopmenon plays the title role 'Mullassery Madhavankutty' and his performance is not bad but his acting is largely influences by the two ‘M’s in Mollywood (Mammootty & Mohanlal).High time Anoop menon brought in his own acting. Concerning other characters, not quotable though Janardhanan, KPAC Lalitha, Innocent, Nishant Sagar has performed well.

Debutant Kumar Nanda has done the story and direction of the film. However it turns out to be totally unimpressive. The story is outdated and the screenplay & dialogues by Swathibhaskar is premature and screenplay is a misfit in a lot of sequences. Camera done by Sivakumar  is pretty good and Editng by debut Prajish,is  accurates. The positive factors of  this film is the Music done by Legend Raveendran and Ratheesh Vega. The song ''Paathimaayum Chandralekhe...'' done by Raveendran and written by Gireesh Puthenchery, was composed for 'Chakram (Malayalam film)' however was never used.  Kumar Nanda has wisely used the song and its apt for the situation. Ratheesh Vega's BG is apt for the film and his composition of Soundtrack is nice, specially the song ''Kannaram Pothi...''.

Overall, 'Mullassery Madhavankutty Nemom.P.O' is an indelible family drama and shows nothing new.

Grade: 'Mullassery Madhavankutty Nemom.P.O' is Foreseeable and Outdated.

Rating: 2/5
