'Avatharam' - Review

Joshiy - Dileep movie 'Avatharam' finally hit the screens on 01 Aug. 2014. The movie has the stars  Joy Mathew, Devan, Midhun, Lakshmi Menon etc. The opinions are mixed with good.

Story
Madhavan Mahadevan (Dileep), a village guy who comes with his Sister in Law and her daughter to Kochi for the claim purpose of his brother who was a customs officer named Sudhakaran (Ganesh) died in an accident. Madhavan realises that actually it was not an accidental death but a cold-blooded murder by a notorious goonda group. Madhavan decides to revenge upon them.

Movie outlook
  • It's an usual revenge story and flawlessly made it with ‘Dileep’ heroism.
  • First half is unbalanced and the pace's grip off  but Second half get back the speed and engages in all.
  • Drawbacks:-  Predictable and Formulaic

Acting
  • 'Avatharam' is totally a Dileep movie and the role 'Madhavan Mahadevan' is safe in his hands.
  • The movie fully loaded with villains; Joy Mathew, Shammi Thilakan, Kannan Pattambi, Mithun etc. Mithun's character 'Karimban Jobi' is notable than others and he did good job.
  • Sijoy Varghese  just delivered well in the role of ‘A.C.P’
  • Lakshmi Menon did her parts well.
  • Others are OK.

Technicalities
  • Joshiy's direction made lively.
  • Script of Vyasan Edavankkadu, is in usual patterns. 'Climax dialogue' is good when the Hero killing the villain.
  • R.D.Rajasekhar's visuals, songs & BG of Deepak dev, Editing of Shyam Sasidharan:- are grace marks.

Nothing expect as it's a fun genre. Totally a different Dileep movie

Grade:   'Fully  Action packed'

Rating:   3 / 5
