'Mumbai Police' - Review

Director Roshan Andrews and writers team Bobby-Sanjay finally comes out with a ground-breaking suspense thriller movie 'Mumbai Police'. The film opens a different way of Malayalam suspense genres that I have ever seen. In which Prithviraj, Rahman and Jayasurya are handling the main roles along with other supporting actors. Mumbai Police is released today and the opinions are mostly fair.

Story
Antony Mosus (Prithviraj), a police officer who investigates a murder of his colleague and deep friend Aryan (Jayasurya). When the case is well under way to the final judgement Antony befalls on a car accident and he lost his memory Antony tries to bring out his memory to find out the murderer of his friend.

The movie rolls on a fantastic story and its sequences act like its vertebra. Each scene keeps suspense mood and its twist deviates the viewers predictions. Since the suspense thrillers follow a traditional manner in their clues and revealing sides, but Mumbai police doesn't follow that manner because of its new way of narration.

Prithviraj's performance is mainly attracts me and my thought is that the film's mood keeps only in his responsibility. He handles with care and wonderfully. Rahman, Jayasurya and other supporters did fine jobs in their roles.

Roshan Andrew's direction is carrying you to the extreme point of suspense which is converged in different ways. He did his best. Writers Bobby-Sanjay draws an unusual cop suspense thriller with superb dialogues and unpredictable scenes. The technicalities are first rate:- The frame and shots of Divakar (For instance; watch the trailer in YouTube at 1.21 shot which makes u clap when ur on screens), Edit by Mahesh Narayanan nicely follows the script and making, the BG Score of Gopi sundar, is good and the action choreography by Allan Amin is superb.

Grade:   'Unique and Experimental' film
Rating:   4 / 5
