'Theevram' - Review

'Theevram' is a crime thriller film which goes on the same modus operandi of some South Korean films but the only drawback is far from the perfection. As of his debut Venture director Rupesh Peethambaran should have to keep more care about in the film's scripting. The film released today (16/11/2012)and the opinions are mostly mixedDulqar Salman, Sreenivasan, Vishnu Raghav, Anu Mohan, Shikha Nair and Riya Saira in the lead Characters of this film which is the production of VCI Movies.

Story
'Theevram' is the story of revenge of a guy named Harshavardan (Dulqar Salman) upon the murderer of his wife

'Theevram' has the South Korean film 'I Saw the Devil'-esque plot which has a maximum alteration in its story, usually predictable. The first half losses the pace and much lagging, but the Second Half, fully it's a flashback scenes; execution is just good. The brutal scenes have exposes for strengthen the story and the suspense handling wilfully. I'm so appreciated the interval and end.

Dulqar's acting is good and he does very well in anger and revenge situations. Sreenivasan fantastically featuring his role's speciality. All other supporting performances of Vishnu Raghav, Vinay Fort, Anu Mohan, Shikha Nair, Riya Saira are good.

Director Rupesh is trying to make out an usual revenge story in difficult style; he has successfully done it, but the film has lot of flat dialogues and imperfection. Hari Nair's visuals are simple but it gives more strength in dimly shots and fight scenes. Kapil Gopalakrishnan's editing is just followed the script. Roby Abraham's BG Scores superb, specially it's theme. Cyril Kuruvila's art direction is commendable in the house's basement settings where give a killing atmosphere.

Grade:  Theevram isn't intensive
Rating:  2.3/5
