'D Company' - Preview


After an anthological experience '5 Sundarikal', 'D Company' is ready to hit the screens. The film consisting three different short movies and it including an ensemble multi star casts. The each 3 short action-thriller movies are directed by M.Padmakumar, Diphan and Vinod Vijayan and the whole films are produced by the banner 'DCutz' of Seven Arts Mohan and Vinod Vijayan.

Oru Bolivian Diary 1995

  • The first segment of the series ' Oru Bolivian Diary 1995' is directed by M.Padmakumar; Asif Ali and Sumudrakhani are handling the leading roles along with other roles acted by  Abu Salim, Ananya, Narein etc. The film's script is done by G.S.Anil and the DOP handled by Vinod Illampilly and Pappu, Oru Bolivian Diary is a political thriller movie and Its tunes composed by Rahul Raj.

Gangs Of Vadakkumnathan

  • 'Gangs Of Vadakkumnathan', the second segment of the featurette, directed by Diphan and written by Actor Anoop Menon. The movie featuring the various attributes of gangsters in the city Thrisoor. Jayasurya, Anoop Menon and Unni Mukundan are in the main roles and it shots are taken by director's buddy Bharani.K.Dharan. Gopi Sundar is composed the tunes of this film.

Day Of Judgement

  • The last featurette is 'Day Of Judgment', a Vinod Vijayan film which including the casts Fahad fasil, Bhama,Thanusree Ghosh etc. Its screenplay is written by Rajesh Ravi and the frames captured by Pappu. Ratheesh Vega is the Music Director of this movie.
'D Company' was supposed to include five action thrillers and the other two films are of Veteran makers Joshiy and Shaji Kailas along with the above directors' movies. But finally it was splited into three films and the movies of Joshiy and Shaji Kailas are excluded due to their date clashes and ticklers.
'D Company' will be released in this Onam Festival.

'Salaam Kashmir' - Preview


Actors Sureshgopi and Jayaram, the duo team again joining after a long gap through the film  'Salaam Kashmir', directed by Joshiy and scripted by Sethu. The movie has an ensemble actors including Lalu Alex, Vijayaragahavan, Miya, Krishnakumar, P.Sreekumar, Junaid Shaikh etc. along with Sureshgopi and Jayaram. Salaam Kashmir is produced by a famed banner 'Varnachitra Big screen'.

  • 'Salaam Kashmir', a Military action thriller which is penned by Sethu (from the duo screen players Sachi-Sethu) who earlier wrote a screenplay for the director in the movie 'Robinhood - Prince Of Theives' and Salaam Kashmir is the second film with the director.

  • Ace director Joshiy deals with the military based action film in second time. 'Nairsaab' is the first venture of him, is based on Army, released in 1989 and became a huge hit at the Box-Office.

  • Sureshgopi and Jayaram are performing the protagonist roles and the actors team again combo together after their successful goals in the movie 'Summer In Bethelehem' (1998).

  • Maha Subair is producing this film in his banner 'Varnachitra Big screen'. The banner's previous film with Joshiy, is 'Christian Brothers' was a blockbuster of the year 2011.

Salaam Kashmir's shoot is progressing at Kashmir and it will be released in Sep.2013.

'Daivathinte Swantham Cleetus'

Megastar Mammootty comes along as 'Cleetus' in 'Daivathinte Swantham Cleetus', a debut directorial venture of G.Marthandan and it is scripted by Benny.P.Nayaramabalam. The film is a multi star cast including Sidique, Vijayaraghavan, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Kottayam Nazeer, Honey Rose, Thesni Khan etc. 'Daivathinte Swantham Cleetus', produced by Faisal Latheef in his banner Achappu Movie Magic.

'Chennai Express' - Review


'Chennai Express', a totally energetic and a paisa vasool and It will hold the mood of entertainment until the last of the movie. It is directed by Rohit Shetty; Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone featuring the main roles with other cast. Chennai Express released 08/08/2013 and it journeying to the 'Superhit station' by viewers positive feed backs.

Story
Rahul (SRK), a bachelor who travels to Rameswaram to immerse the ashes of his grandfather to fulfil his will. In his journey he meets a woman named Meenalochini aka Meenama (Deepika Padukone) from a gunda family in South. Some unexpected circumstances turns to joint them and Rahul reaches Meenama's home land.      

Movie Outlook

  • 'CE' s story moves similar track like Tamil and Telugu commercial movies.
  • It fast-paced and fun-packed treatment fully engaging u up to the last scene.
  • CE's first and second half keeps solid pace.

Acting

  • Our King Khan is performed very well. His accurate comic&romantic numbers are on-top. Mainly 'CE' is mostly used SRK's heroism into some fun moments. 
  • Deepika Padukone sharing the same space with SRK and she is elegant as South Indiana.
  • Nikitin Dheer and Satyaraj, are just villains.  
  • Coming to acting, its totally 'SRK and Deepika' shows-off.

Technicality

  • To the Direction, no other words to say, Rohit Shetty keep up the dynamic way and he also designed apt action sequences (while its are inspired some Tamil movie Ghilli, Alex pandian and Naan Mahan Allai)
  • Visually, 'CE' is a 'picturesque' view, shots taken by Dudley.
  • Steven.H.Bernard's editing is brilliant.
  • Musics and Bg scores are keep time.
  • Cg and Vfx are very well.

'Pullipulikallum Aattinkuttiyum' - Review


Director Lal Jose's 'Pullipulikallum Aattinkuttiyum' is a simple family movie which is engaging up to last of the film by good landscapes of 'Kuttanad' and some humour elements of the script. Kunchako Boban is handling the protagonist role with other characters of Namitha Pramod, Harisree Ashokan, Suraaj Venjaramoodu, Shammi Thilakan, Irshad, Shiju, Jojo etc. The movie is released 09/08/2013 and garnered mixed responses.

Story
Gopan aka 'Chakka Gopan' (Kunchako Boban) is an houseboat owner and he has three brothers :- Suku, Maniyan and Vijayan, who are rogues and lazybones. Gopan falls in love with Jayasree (Namitha Pramod) and she is a dance performer in Gopan's houseboat. On a parallel side, Gopan has an enemy Kavalakal Kuriachan who tries to destroy the life of Gopan. How these characters interfere in the Gopan's life.

Movie outlook
  • Story rolls on a simple narrative style and creates some funny moments.
  • First Half must be engaging u, but it drags in the second half and breaks the pace of climax and its related scenes.
  • The end isn't satisfactory.
  • This will attract u with aesthetic visuals of nature

Acting
  • Kunchako Boban did well as his role 'Chakka Gopan' and his look and gestures are fair.
  • Harisree Ashokan and Suraaj Venjaramoodu, creating enjoying moments. 
  • Other roles of Bindu Panicker, Namitha Pramod, Shammi Thilakan, Irshad, Shiju, Jojo etc. are fully justified to their roles.

Technicality
  • Lal Jose's tried to engage by his styles of making. 
  • Sindhuraj's screenplay narration isn't new.
  • S.Kumar's Visuals are outstanding and eye cooling.
  • Vidyasagar's tunes aren't special.

Grade:   A one-time watch movie.

'Memories' - Review


'Memories' is an episode in the life of a police officer, directed by Jeethu Joseph and Young icon Prithviraj handling the protagonist role. Meghnaraj and Miya are the heroines of this film and Vijayaraghavan, Suresh Krishna, Madhupal, Sreejith Ravi etc handling the other crucial roles. Director Jeethu Joseph again bagged his 4th successful venture in 'Memories' which is released  09/08/2013 and the film is credited as a 'superb suspense thriller'  from the viewers.


Story

Sam Alex (Prithviraj) is a dutiful cop, he became a drunkard due to witnessing the murder of his wife and daughter by a terrorist. He is disappointed in his life and job. The police force forced him to investigate a peculiar series of murders happening in the city. Sam Alex does his duty and track down the culprit.


Movie outlook

  • Memories' story is on way of an usual suspense genre film but the script including factors make u a different experience. 
  • The writer cum director makes an outstanding screenplay, including nail biting moments and app laudable case keys. (one of the eg: its interval before scenes and climax)
  • The film is just inspired some keys from Dan Brown's 'Davinci Code', but it is new.
  • The film's First and Second halves cleanly hold the pace.
  • The climax, creating crucial moments and it's end will makes u clap.

Acting

  • Prithviraj is superb in his protagonist role as Sam Alex and he presents a classy performance as a dutiful cop as well as a drunkard. 
  • All other actors are good and apt for the roles.

Technicality 

  • Jeethu Joseph made an 'outstanding' screenplay and direction. The characters are very well connected and the dialogues and situations are strong.
  • The film fit together perfectly in Sujith Vasudev's Visuals, V.Sajan's Edit and the BG Scores of Anil Johnson, are topping marks. And Others are good.

Grade:   Memories is a graceful suspense thriller

'Kadal Kadannoru Maathukutty'


Director Ranjith again joins together with actor Mammootty and he pens a special character for Megastar like his previous milestone movie 'Pranchiyettan and the Saint'. This time Mammootty has to do the role of Maathukutty in 'Kadal Kadannoru Maathukutty'.
